Refund policy

Mistbound Studios Return & Refund Policy

Effective Date: July 1, 2026

At Mistbound Studios, every piece is individually 3D printed, inspected, and, when applicable, hand-painted with care. Because many of our products are made to order, our return policy differs from that of mass-produced retail items.

Order Cancellations

Orders may be canceled within 24 hours of purchase for a full refund.

Once production has begun, orders can no longer be canceled because materials and labor have already been invested in creating your item.

Returns

Due to the custom and made-to-order nature of our products, we do not accept returns for:

  • Change of mind

  • Buyer remorse

  • Incorrect color or size selected by the customer

  • Minor layer lines or slight variations inherent to the 3D printing process

  • Normal variations in hand-painted finishes

Damaged or Defective Items

If your order arrives damaged or defective, please contact us within 7 days of delivery.

Please include:

  • Your order number

  • A description of the issue

  • Clear photographs of the product and the shipping box, including any visible shipping damage

Once we review the claim, we may choose to:

  • Send replacement parts

  • Repair the issue when practical

  • Replace the item

  • Issue a full or partial refund when appropriate

Lost Shipments

If a package is lost in transit, please contact us.

We will work with the shipping carrier to investigate the shipment and determine the most appropriate resolution, which may include a replacement or refund depending on the carrier's findings.

Exchanges

We generally do not offer exchanges because each item is produced specifically for the customer.

If an exchange is approved due to a manufacturing defect or shipping damage, Mistbound Studios will provide instructions for returning the original item before a replacement is sent.

Custom Orders

Custom commissions, personalized items, and specially requested modifications are non-refundable once production has started.

If a custom order arrives damaged or contains a manufacturing defect, we will work with you to make it right.

Digital Products

Digital downloads, STL files, and other downloadable content are non-refundable once the files have been delivered or downloaded.

If you experience technical issues with a digital file, please contact us so we can assist you.

Product Appearance

Because our products are created using resin 3D printing and, in many cases, hand painting:

  • Small variations between photographs and the final product are normal.

  • Colors may appear different depending on your monitor or device.

  • Minor print lines or handcrafted variations are not considered defects.

Refund Processing

Approved refunds will be issued to the original payment method.

Please allow 5–10 business days after the refund has been processed for your financial institution to complete the transaction.
